          While outcomes are important, so is the process. The counseling department focuses on discovering good matches between students and colleges. We believe this is each student’s personal journey and our role is to support, guide, and educate students and their families.  In addition, college counselors hold group information sessions, individual meetings with students and their parents, and parent presentations.

          college planning process, making it easier and less overwhelming. The step-by-step approach
          demystifies college planning, particularly for those students who are the first generation in their
          families to attend college.

          Students in 10th and 11th grade can take the new PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10 to measure readiness for college, access scholarships, and practice for the SAT.

          Register for the SAT

           

          The SAT is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test created and administered by the College Board. The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student’s readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.

          Register for SAT Subject Tests

           

          While SATs are designed to measure your reasoning skills and overall college readiness, SAT Subject Tests are designed to assess your knowledge in specific subject areas. These subject areas are aligned with common high school courses and generally test high level high school skills and knowledge.

          NCAA Eligibility

           

          College-bound student-athletes preparing to enroll in a Division I or Division II school need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center to ensure they have met amateurism standards and are academically prepared for college coursework.

          State University System of Florida

          Together with the Florida College System, the State University System of Florida, which includes Florida’s 28 community colleges and state colleges, it is part of Florida’s system of public higher education. The system, headquartered in Tallahassee, is overseen by a chancellor and governed by the Florida Board of Governors.

          The Florida Board of Governors was created in 2003 to centralize the administration of the State University System of Florida.

          The name serves as description enough for the purpose of this website. It is very similar to Fastweb. It will match a student with scholarships they qualify for, organize them for the student, and they can apply for the scholarship straight from the website.
